The journalist Niamh Griffin commissioned this illustration series for her talk 'Women in sport' about the role that sports play in women's perception of themselves.
Niamh is a former professional Thai boxer and works to encourage young girls to approach sport with an open mind as a great medium to gain confidence in themselves and their own power and abilities.
Young girls and women still believe in certain stereotypes.

The reality:
I can be part of a team, work towards a goal and be happy and proud of myself!
