Little Details is a graphic novel that tells the story of Bella, who upon discovering an old photograph, finds herself on an adventure through the story behind the mysterious photo as she searches for its owner.
Little Details aimed to help open graphic novels to a wider readership and also to offer a new perspective in graphic novel reading.

When it was released in 2013, Little Details received the Silver Award for Best Entertainment app at the Irish App Awards, and was recommended as app of the week in the Irish Times.
Little Details was published in 2014 by Hola Mariquita (Greg O'Brien, Fabrizio Valerio Covone and myself) a small team who met while studying together at Dublin Institute of Technology. Combining artwork, animation, sound design, music and interactive elements, Little Details is a 60 page graphic novel which aims to provide a completely immersive experience to the reader.
Little Details was once available on iTunes for iOS and Google Play for Android.
ILLUSTRATION STYLE
Defining the style of Little Details took much research and testing before settling for the final look and feel. Below are some examples of styles that inspired us:
Style research and moodboard
We chose a very restricted and unrealistic colour palette so that both ourselves and our readers need to look at the world in a different lens. It was really hard to colour both the trees and the sky yellow!
There's also a strong symbolism of the colour red throughout the story.
